SEPTEMBER 28 CODE OF ETHICS, MEMBERSHIP MEETING/SOCIAL

Due to the MAR Convention in early October, we will hold that month’s Membership Meeting on Wednesday September 28 at Jeff’s Catering in Brewer. The brief meeting will begin at approximately 5:00, and will be followed by the announcement of this year’s Affiliate of the Year!  The social will include heavy appetizers and a cash bar. The check-in for the social begins at 4:45. The cost is $10.00. Please see important information below to register.

BEFORE the meeting/social, from 1:30-4:30, Geoff MacLean of The Real Estate Learning Group will teach “Code of Ethics”.  This will be the last time the GBAR offers a live ethics class before the membership requirement deadline of 12/31/16. This class is approved for 3 CEUs by the Maine Real Estate Commission. The cost of the class is $30.00 for GBAR members, and $40.00 for non-members or members of another board. GBAR members who attend both the meeting/social and class will pay a reduced rate of $25.00 total!  We need an accurate headcount, so if you cannot stay for the social, please plan to pay the $30.00 class fee.

ALL GBAR MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A CODE OF ETHICS COURSE BETWEEN 1/1/13 and 12/31/16, or risk suspension of membership. A free Code of Ethics class (for no CE credit) is available online at www.realtor.orgClick here for a list of members still needing Ethics (if you believe your name is on this list incorrectly, please contact GBAR).

IMPORTANT:  Due to the upcoming conversion to a new membership management system (RAMCO), online registration is not available at the present time.  IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND THE MEETING AND/OR CLASS, YOU MUST CONTACT ME AT 989-1607 OR marciabartol@msn.com. You can either mail a check, or pay by credit card over the phone.  If you register with the promise to bring a check, you will be billed in the event of a no-show.  Sorry, no refunds.  REGISTRATION REQUIRED BY SEPTEMBER 22.
