New Member Orientation

Primary membership with the Greater Bangor Association of REALTORS® automatically provides membership in the Maine Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, a distinguished organization of professional real estate licensees who are committed to protect and promote private ownership of real property, establish and maintain high professional standards of practice, and create unity in the organization, and respect for the real estate profession.

A pledge of membership with GBAR is that every member attend a New Member Orientation and is required to complete a New Member Code of Ethics program within the first ninety (90) days of membership.  The New Member Code of Ethics can be done online or at a live class should one be offered in an area convenient to you. The online course DOES NOT offer any continuing education credit with the Maine Real Estate Commission.

The Greater Bangor Association of REALTORS® offers a New Member Orientation Program each quarter.  Scheduled programs will be available for registration by clicking here.

YOU MUST COMPLETE BOTH THE ORIENTATION AND ETHICS PROGRAMS WITHIN YOUR FIRST NINETY (90) DAYS OF MEMBERSHIP, UNLESS AN ORIENTATION HAS NOT BEEN OFFERED IN THAT TIME FRAME.

New members are issued (usually by email) unique NRDS #s for identification with the National Association of REALTORS®. You may use this number to register with http://www.realtor.org, where you will find a wealth of valuable information.

If you have any questions, please contact the Greater Bangor Association of REALTORS® at 207-989-1607.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR MEMBERSHIP!
